Something you should know about me
Before we go any further, I should explain a little bit about who I am and what I believe. (It's about to get real authentic in here!)
While I have a few reservations now (some Biblical stuff that makes me a little uneasy), I absolutely loved President Trump from the beginning. (For the first time ever in my life, I was glued to the television, watching the election results coming in.)
I thought he was hilarious and brutally honest, which I found refreshing and needed.
I generally have conservative values. I don't think that I'm hard-leaning but I am hardcore patriotic and I believe in our freedoms - all of them.
However, I also believe in the woo-woo (which I came to through science). I love meditation and energy work, the law of attraction, and most of the things that make people look kooky or crazy.
I'm a bit of a conservative black sheep.
back to the fraudulent mcfakesters
I'm assuming that anyone that actually made their way here and is screaming in hysterical disagreement with my above opinions has since left. So, you and I can now speak freely...
The "spiritual gurus" all seem to be members of the left-wing hypocrite party. Because it's the party of "inclusivity" and "tolerance"? (Nah, fool, that's the party of hate and sheep brains.)
These gurus of love and peace were SO MAD when 2016 came around. Holy moly! I had to unfollow most of them. And it's still tough to make it through an email of the ones that I let stick around.
"I know everything is so terrible right now, but just stay positive and keep showing up for what you believe." As they drop a tear in their organic matcha latte with extra dirt.
What am I missing? How terrible it is that the corruption is finally getting cleaned up and our laws are being enforced? (I'm definitely missing something because this is the best things have been in four years, imo.)
How can anyone take their lessons to heart when they stand for closed minds and one-right-way thinking?
And my woo-woo friends! It's honestly tough talking to them most of the time. I just keep my mouth shut and give a fake smile when it inevitably comes up. (And if you know me, keeping my mouth shut is not my strong suit.)
Should I rebrand to club black sheep?
So, basically, I'm a black sheep in both communities.
And I'm totally good with that, but it makes finding my tribe a little tough. We can't talk about our woo-woo in the conservative crowds. And we can't say what we really think in the spiritual rooms.
As I work on being authentically me, I have realized that that includes saying the things that are not going to make me popular.
It means being okay with offending some people. It means being okay with not being liked by everyone. And it means being honest about who I really am... an opinionated, Bible-thumping, freedom-seeking, conservative, woo-woo spiritualist!
There are rules to being in this club
There aren't enough conservative leaders in the spiritual community. That's just facts. (If there are, please send me in their direction.)
I think this is why the woo-woo is given such a bad rap in the mainstream. There aren't enough people bridging the two. And that's a freaking shame.
I was a pathetic, miserable lump of cells before I saw the light in the woo-woo. The woo-woo changed my life! How many people can be changed the same way but they're too busy thinking it's whacked out voodoo?!
So, I'm creating a club and I think there should be a few rules... just the kind to keep the unseemly individuals out.
1. only the ambitious need apply
We all know the saying, "We are the sum of the 5 people we spend the most time with."
I didn't create The Wealth Lab because I want an average life. I have big dreams and big goals and I fully intend to get there some way, some how. And anyone that feels the same can't be wasting their precious energy pulling up people that are completely content to settle.
It's maddening!
Listen, life as we know it doesn't work if everyone has ambition. We need workers. Those people are great people. But I've got plenty of those people in my life. I don't need more.
This club is for the people that know they are here for something bigger. They have a calling that is higher than themselves.
You don't have to know what it is yet, you just have to know it's there.
2. We are of a scientific mind
Does that make you think I've gone and lost my mind? I mean, I have been talking about woo-woo this entire time and now I'm over here saying, "Follow the science!"
Ha! My left brain has overworked my entire life. I am a life-long science nerd. But science isn't exactly what I mean here.
You should have an opinion but, to be in the club, you have to be open to looking at the data.
If you are going to plug your ears and scream your lungs out, you can't set up camp in this club. We don't want no one-right-way thinkers here.
Listening is a skill we, as a society, are losing. I have strong opinions but feel free to try and change them! (Until a few months ago, I would have called Flat Earthers a barrel of Looney Tunes. But they make a good argument...)
3. Positivity is the law of this land
I used to be sooooooo negative. Like "I can find the worst in any given scenario" kind of negative. (I kindly apologize to all who tolerated me back then.)
Dude. Negativity is such a downer!
Not only is it hard to be around, but it's serving no one. Do we all get sucked into it from time to time? Sure. But we can't live there. Life is too short and too magical.
4. You've got to be good with god
The world of woo-woo loves to term Him as "the Universe". We wouldn't want to offend anyone that doesn't believe in God, now would we?
I hate to say it, but if you believe the universe is intelligent, created all life, and is out for your best interest, then you believe in God. So, let's just call Him who He is.
